The Luxury Graffiti series captures my layered journey of growing up in New York City—where street culture, classical training, and comic book imagination collided.
Graffiti
As a teenager, my friends and I would tag on walls and trains in Brooklyn. We used homemade markers made from old deodorant containers and chalkboard erasers that would drip ink when you tagged. Using oil paint, I recreated that raw energy in the Luxury Graffiti backgrounds.
Oil Painting
During my 20s, I refined my craft through traditional training. I painted from live models at two important New York City art institutions: The Art Students League and The School of Visual Arts.
Chrome
The sci-fi mirror aesthetic comes from my comic book roots. As a teenager, I interned at the Marvel Comics Park Avenue headquarters where I developed a deep appreciation of regal heroes. My favorite characters were Storm and Silver Surfer.
Since I was raised in Brooklyn, it was only right that Brooklyn Editions produced this high-quality, iridescent edition. They faithfully captured my signature metallic look by translating paint, chrome, and cultural memory into a striking limited-edition collectible.
